No matter how much money I've inherited and made on the backs of others- I'm still a little shit... And look- I can prove it!!!

I have nothing against hunters who actually eat what they kill- I'd be some kinda hypocrite otherwise, since I eat meat. As far as these Big Bawanas who wanna prove how big theirs are by shooting defenseless animals for... sport are concerned- if you want to prove your manhood with a gun, there's many a government sanctioned organization that will happily send you off where you can "be all that you can be." But these Trumps, Nugents and lying dentists are just cowards to the core.

Me And My Gun!

Sometimes I just can't help myself. After reading all the PRO-GUN hype and hysteria commentary on this particular piece of Yahoo journalism... couldn't help adding my own $0.02:

 

Why can't people understand that you can't be a MAN in America unless you have a gun? Is that too hard to understand? American men can't feel safe, secure and masculine without having a bigger gun than the guy standing next to him. It's all there in the Constitution! 

And you have to have one to be a good Christian, Jesus was all about his guns! He never backed down- always brought his piece, and wasn't scared to use it either.

I mean, come on, take away our guns... And we're nothing!!!

UPDATE: Anytime I leave a comment anywhere on guns, it's always followed by insults, threats, and more threats. This time... crickets!?!?

The Hypocrisy Of The NRA

Frontline forgot one critical, key piece of legislation in their presentation...

Just how hypocritical the NRA is, has already been well documented when they wholeheartedly and enthusiastically supported The Mulford Act, which was passed to ban Open Carry in Oakland- specifically so The Black Panthers could not bear arms in public. It's always a laugh when NRA supporters give their usual spiel about: freedom, self protection, the Constitution, this or that amendment, and how Potus is gonna sneak into their homes and take all their guns away if they dare fall asleep. They want as many of each and every kind of gun known to mankind for one reason and one reason only- so that their delusional, racist, paranoid constituency can keep darkie "in their place."

*And... their hero Governor Ronald Reagan signed it; it's not like anyone's fooling anyone...

Actually, this elderly (White) gentleman doesn't have much to fear in that respect- as clearly evidenced here. But point most definitely... taken. Seems that except for those in complete denial (and yes, that faction always does represent in substantial numbers), there now seems to have opened a small window to which the public at large can no longer claim ignorance to the fact that maybe, just maybe, cops do treat Whites different than... the darker complected spectrum of humanity.

Reciprocity Failure will be recharging its analog batteries in the coming fortnight as I head over towards the homeland to visit the folks, participate in the largest climate march in the world to date, check out the doings in Photoville, and catch a show or two. May send in a brief on the spot post if and when appropriate- and do say hello if so inclined...

What I Did On My Summer Vacation!

I'd like to think this was an exercise in constructive dialogue (see commentary). And keep in mind this occurred at one very civil, very well mannered site- otherwise, it would have been death threats (and worse) from the get go...

While there are some legitimately responsible gun owners out there, they're probably in the minority; most gun owners, like most other people with anything else, probably take fairly moderate precautions that usually are... just safe enough. The problem, of course, is that firearms are not like everything else and require much more strenuous safeguards, and on those occasions when guns are not vigilantly safeguarded and therefore stolen or otherwise misused- it's very frequently tragedy writ large on a personal, or massive scale (eg- Newtown).

And then... there are the yahoos, who I would respect a helluva lot more if they were simply honest enough to admit that the real reason they want such easy access to so many guns has nothing to do with hunting, nothing to do with The Bill of Rights- and certainly nothing to do with government officials who may someday (as they claim), inexplicably turn on them (despite being paid off so handsomely through the various gun lobbies). 

Just come out and say that we want our guns so we can keep darkie in place whenever need be...

First he follows the kid around in a car like a pervert- what every kid is warned about by their mother. The cops tell him to stop- he doesn't. So he follows him again! An action that would creep any kid (or adult) the hell out- a complete stranger slowly and deliberately stalking you in a car. Then this grown man decides to escalate it yet another notch by getting out of his car to physically confront said teenager- who has done absolutely nothing wrong. If I was his age I would have hopefully tried to make the first move too before I let some fat pervert try to abduct me.

A totally needless, totally senseless death of a boy completely instigated by yet another (racist) loser with a gun desperately trying to prove himself a "man."
