A Portrait In Narcissism (and worse)

I was really trying to transition back to photography today from the recent madness, and yet the insanity (as in The Godfather) just seems to pull me back in. Perhaps you're already familiar with this (apparently it's not a hoax), but since I neither Tweet, Tumble or Face...

This "Comment" on Sarah Palin's Facebook page and the "history" surrounding it is the kind of cold blooded insanity that follows and represents this woman (remember that Christina Taylor Green was the nine year old shot dead in Tucson):

It's ok. Christina Taylor Green was probably going to end up a left wing bleeding heart liberal anyway. Hey, as 'they' say, what would you do if you had the chance to kill Hitler as a kid? Exactly.

Self absorbed, narcissistic, sociopathic...
and also not a witch

wouldnt it be lovely to see Sarah Palin have the fate of Christina Taylor - what an indescribable pig.

It's a nice sunny outside, the air is cold and fresh and the snow on the ground makes everything seem so strong and bright, then I read this and everything gets dark. Dark, dark stuff. Killing kids is a good thing? Seriously? And I thought conservatives were pro-lifers. Silly me.

Thanks to ObamaLondon, I've known this for days. It's so over the top I'm starting to wonder if it's a piece of satire. Oddly enough, as Thom Hartmann recently said, it took days for it to be taken down.

Sharyn-
Understand the angst, but we're trying to stay civil...

This is definitely time to take the high road- although we should definitely respond to every bit of vitriol they manufacture in a manner that hopefully sparks and elicits some kind of self awareness in what often seems their brain dead capacity for reasoning- instead of just ignoring them and hoping they go away.

The thing that irks me so was not so much the comment, sick as it was, but the fact that it was allowed to remain- unlike the 2 minute limit on every anti Palin comment, which speaks of the mindset she surrounds herself with, and can therefore claim herself.

Interesting that the one blog posting in recent history on this site to garner more than 2 comments is of a political nature. Even more interesting was the very first comment. So telling of the current mindset in America. Why be civil, introspective or provide a respectful and well thought out response when you can spew so freely.

Times have changed, as they always will, but not for the better.
