This is exactly why I can't bring myself to go digital. I have zero faith that my work will ever come to light if I don't make it big while living if it is only archived digitally. I doubt Vivian Maier ever would have seen the light of day if her collection was only on a tape backup somewhere.
I'm not holding my breath to be "discovered" alive, or dead. But there's no doubt that a lot of interesting, noteworthy work from the digital realm of lesser names will be forever lost.
