Seeing Through A Republican

Having worked with people with developmental disabilities for the past five years has been both a rewarding and insightful experience. And if you've been following this hypocritical brouhaha- it  certainly doesn't get any more insightful than this:

My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes.
-Andrea Fay Friedman

Actually, the only question here is- What does it take to shame a Republican?

I saw Andrea's comment earlier today and I thought fair play to her.

Palin is right to bring issues of disability and the associated prejudice to the fore, but she needs to pick her podiums.

Family Guy is satire. Just this week she defended Rush Limbaugh on the grounds of satire when he was basically agreeing with Rahm Emanuel, ie, Rush wasn't being satirical - he was being as offensive as Rahm (however you want to measure that).

Proof that Palin argues her corner regardless of the actual statements.

Palin also needs to stop using Facebook as her platform if she wants to be taken seriously. She whines and the media jumps on it.
