True. I'm always amazed at how much time photographers spend trying to market to other photographers. Pretty much a waste of time.

Which speaks to this comment from Jorg's same post:

"Aren’t we art people the outsiders who treat pictures in ways that certainly must strike most normal people as essentially insane?"

And what I was addressing was that with the prices of inks and papers (not to mention finicky digital printers), digital "in house" printing is certainly more convenient these days- as to cost...

A commercial digital print for $50 is light years ahead in quality from a commercial darkroom print of yore- it's still the price of a half decent photo book. And for people like me who literally have to count pennies just to make rent each month, a "badly printed" Blurb book is about the only way to go to see one's work in print.
