While you and I talk(ed) art over cappuccino, US citizens (like Jose Padilla) were imprisoned and tortured to the point of insanity, without criminal charges. And, of course, this is to say nothing of the hundreds of foreign nationals who have been tortured, and killed, in Afghanistan, Gitmo, Abu Ghraib and (thanks to "rendition") other highly secret jails throughout the world... all in our name.Kinda puts things in perspective, don't it?
